St. Joseph's Catholic School, working on behalf of the Bishop and Diocese of Hallam, strives to be a living witness to the teaching of Jesus to everyone in this area and it attempts to help those who are Catholic to become full and active members of the church. St. Joseph's School bases its approach to the education of the children entrusted to it on these principles.

We believe that every person is created by God for the purpose of growing in grace and knowledge as they journey through life to God.
We believe God made us all equal and unique.
We believe each person has a body, mind and spirt.
We believe people grow not in isolation but through finding love, friendship and support with other people.
We believe education is about helping the child grow, and the responsibility for this is shared between home, school and church.
